Sea Breeze Pacific Regional Transmission System, Inc., “SBPRTS”, has previously presented to the San Francisco Stakeholders group that it is in the process of developing a Bay Area transmission upgrade to enable both an increase in transmission capacity and reliability in the region and to provide direct access to imported renewable energy. The consensus of the group appeared to be that a regional solution was needed and that after the decision on reinforcing the Peninsula was made, a new regional planning process should commence in which the Sea Breeze and other options would be considered.
