CAISO’s proposed budget does not stand in isolation, but is an integral component of the overall planning process. The planning process was significantly enhanced in 2005 with the development of a long-term strategic business plan spanning the years 2006-2008. The business plan, annual budget, corporate, departmental and individual goals all provide a roadmap to the achievement of CAISO’s Vision and Mission. During 2006, CAISO met the important goal of fully aligning and integrating these plans. All CAISO staff have performance plans that are linked to the corporate plan and goals.
