(Folsom, CA) The California Independent System Operator Corporation (California ISO) is hosting an environmental forum that will draw renewable power developers, environmentalists, utility officials, state agencies as well as national experts in the area of global warming, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and alternative energy. This is the first meeting of its kind hosted by the California ISO. The goal of the meeting is to better understand greenhouse gas regulations and to help determine the appropriate role the California ISO can play in assisting policymakers as they weigh various policy options for achieving reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and addressing climate change issues.
