Summary:  The CAISO has posted a revised study plan, Mitigation of Reliance on Old Thermal Generation, to its website for stakeholder review and comment.  Please note that the September 21 stakeholder meeting start time has changed to 10:30 a.m.

Main Text:  The CAISO is hosting a stakeholder meeting on September 21 to initiate a CAISO Controlled Grid study regarding the reliability impact of older thermal generation and units that utilize once-through cooling technology.  The CAISO has posted the second draft study plan, Mitigation of Reliance on Old Thermal Generation, to its website at http://www.caiso.com/1c58/1c58e7a3257a0.html for stakeholder review and comment at the September 21 stakeholder meeting. 

 

Stakeholders can also submit comments to Larry Tobias at LTobias@caiso.com by close of business September 20.
