Subject: Examples for Station Power Settlement after MRTU Posted

Summary:  In response to requests from stakeholders, the CAISO has posted Examples of Station Power Settlement as Attachment A to the final proposal, Updates to CAISO Station Power Protocol for MRTU, posted previously on 11/7/07.

Main Text:  The California (CAISO) has completed the stakeholder process for updates to the Station Power Protocol for MRTU.  In response to requests from stakeholders, the CAISO has posted to its website at http://www.caiso.com/1ca6/1ca6755460b50.pdf examples of Station Power Settlement as Attachment A to the final proposal, Updates to CAISO Station Power Protocol for MRTU.  

 

The final proposal, posted to the CAISO website on 11/7/07 at http://www.caiso.com/1ca6/1ca675ae64fe0.html, reflects the decision to go with Option 3 which is to settle all Station Power Load whether it is Self-Supplied, Remote Self-Supplied or Third-Party Supplied at the resource specific Locational Marginal Price (LMP).  The examples provide additional detail on how Station Power Load will be settled after MRTU.
