GIPR Stakeholder Process Scheduling Changes

Summary

The Generator Interconnection Process Reform (GIPR) stakeholder meeting scheduled for May 8, 2008 is being deferred to June 10, 2008 and the CAISO will hold a stakeholder conference call on May 8, 2008.

Main Text 

Since January 2008, the California ISO (CAISO) has been engaged in a stakeholder process to reform its current Large Generator Interconnection Procedures.  This process is known as the Generation Interconnection Process Reform (GIPR) initiative.  By this Market Notice, the CAISO is modifying the schedule for upcoming stakeholder activities related to the GIPR.  The impetus for the revised scheduled is to provide the CAISO additional time to prepare comprehensive draft CAISO Tariff language for stakeholder review to better ensure that the remaining stakeholder GIPR activities can be conducted in an efficient and productive manner.

 

The new schedule and details for stakeholder activities are as follows and supersedes the prior Market Notice, dated April 11, 2008.

 

May 5, 2008      -     Draft of the final GIPR proposal posted by close of business

May 8, 2008      -     Conference call to discuss the final GIPR proposal that will be taken to the CAISO Governing Board 

May 21, 2008    -     GIPR proposal taken to CAISO Governing Board 

May 28, 2008    -     CAISO will post the proposed draft GIPR tariff language revisions to the CAISO Tariff at http://www.caiso.com/1f42/1f42c00d28c30.html

June 6, 2008     -     Stakeholder comments should be submitted to isoqueue@caiso.com by close of business

June 10, 2008   -     Stakeholder meeting (rescheduled from May 8) to discuss draft tariff language and stakeholder comments
