Settlement of Declined Hourly Pre-Dispatch Supplemental Energy

Summary

The CAISO has posted Charge Type Matrix V18.8 for review and comment.  This version reflects changes to charge types for the settlement of declined Hourly Pre-Dispatch Supplemental Energy.

Main Text 

The California ISO (CAISO) has created two new charge types for the settlement of declined Hourly Pre-Dispatch Supplemental Energy, in accordance with Section 11.31 of the CAISO Tariff.  Scheduling Coordinators can review the proposed charge types in the Charge Type Matrix V18.8, which is located on the CAISO website at http://www.caiso.com/docs/2005/03/20/2005032014064728893.html. 

 

The CAISO will commence the calculation of decline charges for Hourly Pre-Dispatch Supplemental Energy on Trade Date May 1, 2008.  Please refer to the market notice sent on April 29, 2008 with subject “Declined Real-Time Import Export Bids Settlement Charge Effective 5/1/2008” for related information regarding these charges (http://www.caiso.com/1fb8/1fb8ba70425d0.html).  The charges and allocations will be posted as manual adjustments to the month-end Trade Dates under the following charge types:

 

• Charge Type 6455 - Declined Hourly Pre-Dispatch Penalty Settlement
• Charge Type 6457 - Declined Hourly Pre-Dispatch Penalty Allocation
