Final Report on MRTU Market Certification by SAIC

The CAISO has posted the final report on MRTU Market Certification that was prepared by SAIC.

Main Text

The California ISO (CAISO) has contracted with SAIC, a consulting firm, to complete a certification of the Market Redesign and Technology Upgrade (MRTU) software.  The analysis is designed to certify that:

 

·         MRTU software systems implement CAISO Tariff statements

·         Those systems accurately implement the Tariff

·         Those systems do not introduce any new concepts that do not agree with the CASIO Tariff

 

SAIC has completed its work and has prepared a final report on its findings.  The CAISO has posted the following certifications to its website at http://www.caiso.com/1fc5/1fc5d12b5460.html, which comprise SAIC’s final report on the MRTU software certification effort:

 

·         Certification of Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR)

·         Certification of Integrated Forward Market-Real Time Nodal (IFM-RTN)

·         Certification of Market Quality System (MQS)

·         Certification of Scheduling Interface Business Rules (SIBR)

 

The CAISO also will post its own preliminary response to the SAIC report at the above link by May 13, 2008.  Additionally, the SAIC report and the CAISO’s response to the report are scheduled for discussion at the MRTU Implementation Workshop to be held on May 20, 2008.
