Main Text
The Master File Data Exchange Project will deliver a User Interface (UI) and Application Programming Interface (API) that enables automation of the GRDT and IRDT data change process for existing resources. The ISO has posted the following documentation for use in the upcoming testing of the GRDT and IRDT submit and retrieve functionality to its website at http://www.caiso.com/2388/2388dd27280b0.html:
Business User Documentation
Technical Specifications
These documents provide instructions for maneuvering through the UI and utilizing the different features of the UI.
Testing Information
The Testing Instructions, Scenarios, and Feedback Form provide instructions and guidelines for performing specific test scenarios and reporting any issues identified during testing.
The Staging URL list provides the list of URLs that will be used for accessing the UI and API services. This list of URLs is being provided prior to the testing timeframe so your organization’s networking department can open any necessary firewalls. If you encounter any problems with the URLs, please contact Network Services through the ISO’s Help Desk at ISOHelpDesk@caiso.com or call (888) 889-0450.
API testing with the ISO begins July 13, 2009, and runs through July 30, 2009. UI and API end user testing will run from August 17, 2009 through August 28, 2009.
Reminder
Market Participants are reminded that the GRDT and IRDT formats will change with the implementation of the Master File Data Exchange project. Please incorporate these new template formats into your business process as these formats will be used exclusively once the project is implemented, and the existing GRDT and IRDT formats will no longer be supported. The new template formats are posted on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/2388/2388dd27280b0.html.
Questions regarding the Technical Specification can be sent to SOAIntegrationGroup@caiso.com and may also be presented at the Systems Interface User Group (SIUG) meeting on June 30, 2009.
