The
California ISO is offering a one day training course, Convergence Bidding
Overview, on July 13, 2010. This class provides a high level
overview course for new convergence bidding entities and new employees of
existing convergence bidding entities. The class will cover the following:
- An overview of the purpose and
timelines of convergence bidding
- How convergence bids are used in
the day-ahead markets
- How convergence bids are
liquidated in the real-time markets
- Settlement impacts of convergence
bidding
- Charges associated with becoming
a convergence bidding entity.

Registration
is limited to two individuals per scheduling coordinator. Space is
limited to 60 participants. No training fee is required at this
time. If you plan to participate, please submit the Market
Training Registration Form available at the above link to MarketTraining@caiso.com by close of
business July 7, 2010.
The
ISO will announce additional session dates through a market notice as the
registration period approaches.
