The
California ISO is offering a one day training course, Convergence Bidding
Overview, on July 16, 2010 in Houston, Texas. This class provides a high
level overview course for new convergence bidding entities or for new employees
of existing convergence bidding entities. The class will cover the following:
- An overview of the purpose and
timelines of convergence bidding
- How convergence bids are used in
the day-ahead markets
- How convergence bids are
liquidated in the real-time markets
- Settlement impacts of convergence
bidding
- Charges associated with becoming
a convergence bidding entity.

Registration
is limited to two individuals per scheduling coordinator. Space is
limited to 30 participants. No training fee is required at this

ISO will announce additional session dates through a market notice as the
registration period approaches.
