2011/2012 Transmission Planning Process Conceptual Statewide Plan

The California ISO has posted an update to the 2010/2011 Conceptual Statewide Plan. Please submit comments and recommendations no later than close of business September 20, 2011.

As part of the 2011/2012 Transmission Planning Process the ISO has posted an update to the 2010/2011 Conceptual Statewide Plan on its website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/2010-2011ConceptualStatewideTransmissionPlanUpdate_2011-2012TransmissionPlanningCycle.pdf.

The ISO is providing a 20-day comment period from September 1, 2011 through September 20, 2011 for stakeholders to submit comments and recommend modifications to the Conceptual Statewide Plan. Proposed modifications may include alternative transmission elements needed to access resources in locations not included in the conceptual statewide plan, and non-transmission elements providing alternative solutions to transmission upgrades and additions needed to meet the state policy initiatives. Such modifications should not be specific projects, rather electrical solutions to address transmission needs that are identified.

Please submit comments to regionaltransmission@caiso.com no later than close of business September 20, 2011.
