The California ISO Tariff requires the ISO to engage in a transparent and collaborative process while performing its 2022 and 2026 Local Capacity Technical Studies. As part of this collaborative process, the ISO and stakeholders agreed that the ISO will publish initial base cases on or about Jan. 15, 2021. These initial 2022 and 2026 base cases are now posted on the ISO Regional Transmission secure website at https://mpp.caiso.com/Pages/Default.aspx.
Interested entities must complete, execute and submit the Regional Transmission Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) Confidentiality Agreement to gain access to the secure website. These documents and other criteria for accessing the secure website are available on the ISO Transmission Planning webpage at http://www.caiso.com/planning/Pages/TransmissionPlanning/Default.aspx, under the Accessing transmission data heading.
Entities may submit written comments on the base cases to regionaltransmission@caiso.com by close of business Jan. 29, 2021.
The 2022 Local Capacity Requirements Final Study Manual is available at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/LocalCapacityRequirementsProcess.aspx, under the Studies and papers heading, 2022 Local Capacity requirements process subheading.
