The California ISO has posted the updated preliminary 2023 Resource Adequacy Net Qualifying Capacity (NQC) data on its website on the Reliability Requirements webpage, under the Net qualifying capacity (NQC) heading.
Comments and suggestions related to the NQC values must be submitted through the Customer Interface for Resource Adequacy (CIRA) application and suggestions for units to be added to the “Other tab” must be submitted through Customer Inquiry, Dispute & Information (CIDI) system with the following subject line “2023 NQC Other tab” by close of business Sept. 1, 2022. Resources that currently do not have any scheduling coordinator association must submit their requests to be added to the “Other tab” via “Contact us” on caiso.com.
NQC values for all demand response resources need to be re-authorized by their Local Regulatory Agency (LRA) based on their latest load impact protocol before they can be added on the NQC list.
If no modifications are requested for NQC by Sept. 1, 2022 the ISO will use the posted values for the RA compliance year 2023.
Scheduling coordinators may submit comments to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) at RAFiling@cpuc.ca.gov. |
