Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) has completed its evaluation of its existing rating methodology and proposed rerates that will become effective on the May 1, 2023 trade day. The changes result in derates to a number of 500 kV lines on the PG&E transmission system.

The California ISO has conducted studies and analysis to facilitate the proposed rating changes. The operational impacts will be implemented in the ISO’s reliability applications. The corresponding market congestion management updates will be implemented in Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Market, the Day-Ahead Market and the Real-Time Market.

Updated CRR May monthly model will reflect the appropriate changes. The update is scheduled before the end of business day April 6, 2023.
