Aliso Canyon Electric Gas Coordination, Issue Paper Posted
Summary
The California ISO has posted an issue paper addressing the gas-electric market coordination concerns raised by the limited operations of the Aliso Canyon gas storage facility. A stakeholder call is scheduled for March 23, 2016 to discuss the issue paper. Submit comments on the paper by March 30.

The ISO has posted the issue paper for the expedited stakeholder initiative, Aliso Canyon Gas Electric Coordination to its website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/IssuePaper_AlisoCanyonGas_ElectricCoordination.pdf. This initiative will explore if any market mechanisms or other tools are needed to address the ability of the ISO and its resources to effectively manage resources under strained gas market conditions.
The paper will be discussed on the March 23 stakeholder call. A presentation and agenda will be available by close of business March 21.
Please submit comments on the paper to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business March 30.
