Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act Senate Bill 350 Study - Public Meeting 2/8/16
The California ISO will host a public meeting on February 8, 2016 to review the approach, assumptions and methodology of studies being conducted for Senate Bill 350 (SB350) - Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act. Please RSVP by February 4, 2016 if planning to attend in person; a web conference will also be available.
The ISO will host a series of public meetings starting on February 8, 2016 to review the approach, assumptions and methodology of studies being conducted for SB350 - Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act. SB350 requires that the ISO conduct one or more studies of the impacts of a regional market enabled by the proposed governance modifications, including overall benefits to ratepayers, and the following:
a. Creation and retention of jobs and other benefits to the California economy
b. Environmental impacts in California and elsewhere
c. Impacts in disadvantaged communities
d. Emissions of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants
e. Reliability and integration of renewable energy resources
The meeting will discuss the renewable integration, economic and environmental studies that are being undertaken to meet the requirements of the act and will discuss the overall schedule for the project. The ISO will post the meeting presentation on February 3 at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/RegionalEnergyMarket/BenefitsofaRegionalEnergyMarket.aspx
