Main Text
The ISO posted the Contingency Modeling Enhancements Congestion Revenue Rights Alternative Discussion Paper on January 28 to its website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/CRRAlternativesDiscussionPaper-ContingencyModelingEnhancements.pdf. The purpose of this discussion paper is to explore various alternatives to align the CRR market with the proposed changes to the day-ahead market. The paper also includes an updated initiative schedule.
In the ISO's third revised straw proposal of the Contingency Modeling Enhancements initiative, the ISO proposed one method to enhance the CRR market settlement to align with the proposed day-ahead market design changes. The ISO received valuable feedback from market participants through its stakeholder meeting, the market surveillance committee meeting, and written comments in response to the third revised straw proposal. The discussion paper addresses these suggestions.
The ISO will review the paper during the February 11 Market Surveillance Committee meeting, which will be announced in a future market notice.
Please submit comments on the discussion paper to Initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business February 19.
More information on the initiative is available at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/ContingencyModelingEnhancements.aspx.
