The ISO has scheduled a stakeholder call on June 25, 2013 to discuss a revised straw proposal on the Contingency Modeling Enhancements initiative, which is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/RevisedStrawProposal-ContingencyModelingEnhancements.pdf. The revised proposal reflects stakeholder comments on the straw proposal and describes the preventive-corrective constraint which will:

address transmission contingencies |

• |
reduce the use of exceptional dispatches |
|
• |
replace some minimum online commitment constraints |
|
• |
achieve more efficient market pricing and compensation |

The ISO will post a presentation and agenda on its website by close of business June 21 at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/ContingencyModelingEnhancements.aspx.
Please submit comments on the paper to ContingencyModeling@caiso.com by close of business July 1.
