The ISO has revised the deadline for stakeholders to submit comments on the Contingency Modeling Enhancements initiative straw proposal, which is available on its website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/StrawProposal-ContingencyModelingEnhancements.pdf. The comment period has been changed to allow time for a revised straw proposal, an additional stakeholder call, and additional comment period. Please submit comments on the straw proposal to ContingencyModeling@caiso.com by close of business May 28, 2013.
The straw proposal describes the preventive-corrective constraint which will:

address transmission contingencies |

• |
reduce the use of exceptional dispatches |
|
• |
replace some minimum online commitment constraints |
|
• |
achieve more efficient market pricing and compensation |
Stakeholders planning to attend the May 22 meeting should RSVP to SMC@caiso.com by May 20. A presentation and agenda will be available at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/ContingencyModelingEnhancements.aspx by close of business May 20.
A revised straw proposal will be posted on June 18 at the link above. The details will be announced in a separate market notice.
