The ISO has scheduled a stakeholder meeting on May 22, 2013 to discuss the Contingency Modeling Enhancements straw proposal. Please RSVP to SMC@caiso.com by May 20 if you plan to attend the meeting in person.
The proposal and a stakeholder matrix containing stakeholder comments and ISO responses from the March 11 issue paper will be available on the ISO website by close of business May 15 for stakeholder review.
The straw proposal will describe development of a constraint to address the following:

both transmission and generation contingencies |
|
• |
reduction of exceptional dispatches |
|
• |
replacement of some minimum online commitment constraints |
|
• |
achievement of more efficient market pricing and compensation |
The ISO will post a presentation and agenda on its website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/ContingencyModelingEnhancements.aspx by close of business May 20.
Please submit comments on the straw proposal to ContingencyModeling@caiso.com by close of business June 4.
