On Dec. 9, 2020, the Executive Appeals Committee of the California ISO issued its decision on six appeals of Proposed Revision Request (PRR) 1280 to the ISO’s Business Practice Manual (BPM) for Reliability Requirements. The Committee’s decision held PRR 1280 in abeyance “until the Committee renders a future decision on the appeals on or after Aug. 1, 2021”. The Committee explained that it expected the ISO staff and interested stakeholders to work constructively and collaboratively during the abeyance period to
resolve the issues raised in the appeals.
The ISO will host a public Appeals Committee hearing on Aug. 4, 2021, to consider further action on the PRR 1280 appeals. During the public session, the Committee will hear from the appellants, ISO staff, and other interested stakeholders on whether and how the issues highlighted in the earlier hearing have been addressed. Because this matter already has been presented for a full Committee hearing, the ISO will follow the below modified process for the August 4 hearing:
