New Initiative: Commitment Costs and Default Energy Bid Enhancements, Meeting 11/9/16

The California ISO has scheduled a stakeholder meeting for November 9, 2016 to launch a new stakeholder initiative named Commitment Costs and Default Energy Bid Enhancements. Please submit comments by November 23 on the issue paper, which will be available November 2.
Main Text
The ISO is launching a new initiative named Commitment Costs and Default Energy Bid Enhancements that will include discussions regarding potential economic bidding of commitment costs and associated market power mitigation methodology, calculating commitment cost and energy bid reference levels, and current commitment cost bid caps. A stakeholder meeting is scheduled for November 9, 2016 to discuss the initiative’s issue paper, which will be available on the ISO website November 2 at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/CommitmentCosts_DefaultEnergyBidEnhancements.aspx.
A presentation and agenda will be available by close of business November 7 on the initiative webpage at the above link.
