The California ISO will hold a public web conference on April 3, 2020, to discuss the combined issue paper and straw proposal for its new initiative, Effective Flexible Capacity (EFC) Value for Proxy Demand Resources.

Following the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s approval to provide a temporary exemption for the ISO’s proxy demand response (PDR) resources from the EFC performance test, the objective of this initiative will be to stakeholder a proposed resolution to the discrepancy between the tariff and business practices for setting EFC values for PDRs.

The paper, as well as a presentation, will be available prior to the meeting on the initiative web page linked above.

The web conference will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission. The ISO will publish its final positions in written materials in the relevant stakeholder process or legal proceeding.
