Notification of Revised ISO Operating Procedures 2210Z, 3620, 5210E and 5370

MESSAGE

The California ISO has revised the operating procedure referenced below.

 

2210Z Effectiveness Factors All, version 27.6, effective May 7, 2020.

  • 7410: Updated Tables 3A-1 & 3B-1, updated to version 8.1, effective April 30, 2020
  • Updated version and dates only for the following:
    • 6110: version 9.1, effective April 2, 2020
    • 6310: version 22.5, effective April 1, 2020
    • 6610: version 13.1, effective April 2, 2020
    • 7230: version 11.9, effective Jan. 10, 2020
    • 7430: corrected version to 24.0
    • 7440: version 2.0, effective Feb. 5, 2020
    • 7450: version 2.0, effective April 23, 2020
    • 7630: version 15.0, effective Jan. 30, 2020
    • 7740: version 5.0, effective March 20, 2020
    • 7820: version 15.17, effective Dec. 19 2019
    • 7910: version 5.1, effective March 26, 2020

Section 3.2: Updated Transmission Reliability Margin (TRM) Instructions.

 

5210E Real-Time Market Desk Logging, version 2.0, effective May 7, 2020.

Periodic Review:

Section 1.1: Removed reference to Operating Procedure 5210 since it was retired.

Added Section 1.3 Scheduling and Logging System for the CAISO of California (SLIC) Log Contingency Recommendations for the Real-Time Market Operator (RTMO) Desk.

Minor format and grammar updates.

 

5370 Resource Performance Verification, version 7.1, effective May 7, 2020.

Removed instances of Residual Unit Commitment (RUC) and RUC Capacity throughout.

Purpose Section: Removed RUC Availability Payment, updated Tariff Section references, and updated remaining CAISO to ISO except when relating directly to the CAISO Tariff.

Section 3.2: Changed the test duration to ‘resource minimum run time’. Any longer test requested by scheduling coordinator (SC) is considered a self-test, and instructs SC to put resource on outage for self-test duration.

Section 3.2.3: Updated ISO Generation Desk and Scheduling Coordinator tasks.

Section 3.2.4: Minor update.

Section 5: Updated review frequency to every three years.
