Project Sponsor Qualified and Approved for Miguel 500kV Voltage Support Project
The California ISO selected San Diego Gas and Electric Company as the qualified and approved project sponsor to finance, own, construct, operate and maintain the Miguel 500kV voltage support project.
As part of the 2013-2014 transmission planning process, the ISO identified a reliability-driven need for a regional transmission facility to provide voltage support at the Miguel 500kV bus. This project is subject to the competitive solicitation process for an approved project sponsor. San Diego Gas and Electric Company and its proposal is qualified as a single project sponsor, pursuant to section 24.5.3 of the ISO tariff.
The ISO selected San Diego Gas and Electric Company as the approved project sponsor to finance, own, construct, operate and maintain the Miguel 500kV voltage support project, in accordance with section 188.8.131.52.
