Registration is now open for the ISO’s annual Resource Interconnection Fair scheduled on February 27 at its campus in Folsom, California. This forum provides stakeholders with an opportunity to learn more about the ISO interconnection process and the necessary steps to achieve a successful interconnection to the electric transmission system and participation in the wholesale energy markets.
A series of presentations and discussions will highlight all of the requirements for interconnecting a new resource to the ISO, including new tariff requirements recently approved or pending approval by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The information presented will range from submittal of an interconnection request application to declaration of commercial operation, highlighting relevant provisions of the ISO tariff, Business Practice Manuals, and best practices. The relation of storage and distributed energy resources to the overall process will also be discussed. Transmission projects will not be addressed at this fair.
