In the 2019 Final Policy Initiatives Roadmap, the ISO committed to analyze the structural competitiveness of its energy market in response to concerns raised by the ISO Department of Market Monitoring (DMM). In the 2017 annual report, the DMM found indications of system-wide market power in the ISO energy market and projected system-wide market power conditions would grow in 2018. The ISO will hold a stakeholder call on May 6, 2019 to present its findings to stakeholders and determine if further actions are appropriate.
