The California ISO has scheduled a series of limited stakeholder working group meetings on Jan. 14, 2022, Jan. 31, 2022, and Feb. 4, 2022, for working groups 2 and 3 as part of the Transmission Service and Market Scheduling Priorities Phase 2 initiative. This meeting series is for the working group participants and the discussion will be open to all interested stakeholders. Information related to these working groups is included in the issue paper posted on the initiative webpage.
The working group 2 meeting discussions will focus on evaluating the different transmission products that could be offered in the context of ISO’s markets, product time increments, and the process for reserving transmission service, while learning from practices across other transmission providers across the west. The working group 3 discussions will focus on evaluating processes for studying requests, and potentially driving transmission upgrades, related to long-term transmission service requests that cannot be accommodated to integrate with ISO’s current transmission planning processes.
These meetings will include presentations from western transmission providers, including working group participants, who will share their practices, followed by broader group discussion. The meeting schedule and participation details for this working group are included below. Please note that additional meetings may be scheduled, if needed.
