Validated Project Sponsor Applications for Suncrest 230 kV Dynamic Reactive Support Element
The California ISO posted a list of project sponsors whose applications have been deemed valid. The ISO will next consider whether these project sponsors are qualified and then select which qualified project sponsor will finance, own, construct, operate and maintain the Suncrest 230 kV 300 MVAr dynamic reactive support element.
The ISO posted to its website a list of project sponsors whose project sponsor applications satisfy the information submission requirements and are valid for the transmission planning process phase 3 Suncrest 230 kV Dynamic Support project. The list is available at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/ListValidatedProjectSponsorApplications-Suncrest230kVDynamicReactiveSupportElement.pdf.
Pursuant to section 18.104.22.168 of the ISO Tariff, the ISO validated two project sponsors for further consideration and evaluation in the sponsor qualification and selection process. The ISO evaluated the applications based on information submitted by the project sponsors to finance, own, construct, operate and maintain the Suncrest 230 kV 300 MVAr dynamic reactive support element.
Pursuant to the tariff section 22.214.171.124 and the 2013-2014 transmission planning process phase 3 Sequence Schedule, the collaboration period for Sequence 1 opens on August 5, 2014 and closes on August 19, 2014.
