California Energy Commission interconnection queue data request
MESSAGE

The California Energy Commission (CEC) has requested confidential interconnection queue data to support new resource development and tracking activities related to the Tracking Energy Development (TED) Taskforce. The TED Taskforce is a joint effort between staff at the CEC, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), the ISO, and Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) to track new energy projects under development. This data request includes confidential interconnection queue data provided to the ISO, which is substantially consistent with information the ISO provides to the CPUC pursuant to the CPUC annual Resource Adequacy subpoena (Item 32). The data the CEC is seeking includes:

 

  • Project Name
  • Interconnection Customer Legal Entity Name
  • Interconnection Customer Legal Entity Parent Company, if available
  • Primary Contact Information (including e-mail or phone number, if available) of Interconnection Customer
  • Queue Number
  • Transmission Plan Deliverability Status
  • Active Material Modification (Y/N)
  • Project location if available (latitude/longitude)
  • Resource ID(s)
  • Queue Number
  • Status of Project (New Resource Implementation)
  • Planned Online Date (specified by the developer)
  • Megawatts (MWs)

 

Any confidential information provided to the CEC will be protected under California Code of Regulations, Title 20, Section 2505(b). The due date for any objections to the release of this data is noon on Aug. 23, 2023.

 

Any market participant that objects to the ISO providing the requested information to the CEC must submit its objection to the ISO by noon on Aug. 23, 2023, along with a court order or other appropriate order that prohibits disclosure. Unless the ISO receives such an order by the listed due date, the ISO will transmit this information to the CEC pursuant to protection of confidential information under California Code of Regulations, Title 20, Section 2505(b).
