On Sept. 1, 2022, the California ISO issued Exceptional Dispatch Capacity Procurement Mechanism (CPM) designations to address a system reliability need to the resources listed below. The total quantity of the designation was 100.77 megawatts (MW). The Exceptional Dispatch was issued to meet the need created by a record-breaking heat wave across California and other western states in combination with other operating factors. The ISO exceptionally dispatched the specified quantities from these units to maintain reliability.
The ISO has designated the capacity identified below effective Sept. 1, 2022 for a system reliability need. The CPM term is for 30 days under the tariff, subject to adjustment and the payment provisions set forth in the CPM tariff provisions.

The ISO will provide a designation report in accordance with tariff section 43A.6.2. The report will be available on the ISO website under the Capacity procurement mechanism heading.
