The California ISO has posted the Day-Ahead Sufficiency (DAS) issue paper to the initiative webpage and reminds stakeholder’s to pre-register for the related Dec. 18, 2023 public stakeholder call.
The DAS initiative will help the ISO BAA estimate each morning at 9 a.m. whether it is on track to meet its 10 a.m. EDAM resource sufficiency evaluation (RSE) obligations. To that end, the DAS initiative will focus on three topics: (1) advisory RSE results and complementary information; (2) accounting for reliability demand response resources; (3) accounting for strategic reliability reserve resources. During the upcoming stakeholder call, there will also be a discussion on incentives for tagging day-ahead imports.
Please submit written comments on the DAS issue paper and Dec. 18 stakeholder call discussion by end of day Jan. 5, 2024 through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the DAS initiative webpage.
