The California ISO will hold a public hybrid stakeholder workshop for the Energy Storage Enhancements initiative on Aug. 3, 2023, to discuss functionality for modeling regulation awards for storage resources. This meeting will be offered virtually and in-person at the ISO in Folsom, CA.
During this meeting, the ISO and stakeholders will discuss the planned implementation for state of charge equation, unintended consequences from market simulation and possible alternative modeling. Stakeholders are encouraged to attend and participate in the workshop. Stakeholders are also invited to provide presentations. The ISO is planning to discuss the proposed changes to account for regulation awards in the state of charge equation and the observed outcomes from the testing environment when this change was introduced there.
If you plan to attend the August 3 workshop in-person, please register by end of day August 1. We welcome and encourage your in-person participation, but we are requiring anyone attending the meeting in person to complete an onsite COVID-19 screening questionnaire.
Meeting materials will be available prior the meeting on the Energy Storage Enhancements initiative webpage.
The meeting will be recorded and the files posted to the initiative webpage for a limited time. Any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
