The California ISO will hold a public stakeholder call on March 15, 2024 to discuss the Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) Access Charge, also known as Transmission Revenue Recovery, tariff language it intends to resubmit to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), as permitted by FERC’s Dec. 20, 2023 order (ER23-2686).
The Dec. 20, 2023 FERC order accepted the overwhelming majority of Day-Ahead Market Enhancements (DAME) and the Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) rules, and rejected without prejudice one element of the EDAM proposal related to transmission revenue recovery for transmission service providers.
During the March 15 stakeholder call, the ISO will provide an overview of the proposal approved by the WEIMGB/BOG in February 2023 to refresh everyone’s understanding and discuss minor tariff changes to the transmission access revenue recovery proposal that clarify the proposal consistent with the Dec. 20, 2023 FERC order. The ISO intends to resubmit the proposal to FERC later this month. The draft tariff language will be available prior to the call on the EDAM webpage.
