On July 28, 2022, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved an Offer of Settlement, Settlement Agreement filed by Midway Sunset Cogeneration Company (MWSC) in FERC docket no. ER21-998-002. The Settlement adjusts settlements of Resource Adequacy Availability Incentives Mechanism (RAAIM) penalties to RMR resource SUNSET_2_UNITS. To satisfy its obligations under the Settlement, the ISO will make a one-time payment of $173,159.23 to MWSC for the month of February 2021.
The ISO would recover the costs of this payment pro rata from the RAAIM incentives for that month. The allocation will approximate how the ISO would have recovered the costs through the normal RAAIM settlements process.
The ISO will allocate the charges to recover the payment in the Daily Neutrality Adjustment Charge Code 8989 on the Nov. 2, 2023 T+9B initial settlement statement publishing on Nov. 15th, 2023.
Billing for this statement will be reflected on the weekly invoice issuing on Nov. 15th, 2023.
