The California ISO will activate the Flexible Ramping Product (FRP) Nomogram on Sept. 7, 2023 between 14:23 to 1500 PPT.
The FRP Deliverability implementation was activated on Feb. 1, 2023. At that time, flowgates were the only constraints that applied. As of today, Sept. 7,, nomogram transmission constraints will be introduced.
A nomogram is a type of transmission constraint used in unique and rare circumstances, similar to flowgates or contingencies, which are constraints that are used and available to WEIM entities. It can be defined for a WEIM entity on a case-by-case basis and in coordination with the ISO.
