The California ISO will host a hybrid Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Coordination working group meeting on Feb. 22, 2024. Attendees may choose to participate in person at the ISO, or virtually. If you plan to attend the working group in person, please register by end of day Feb. 15, 2024.
During the Feb. 22 meeting, the working group will discuss the following topics:
- Problem statement sponsorship
- The ISO’s publication of average emissions rate data
- Counterfactual overview
- Discussion of problem statement 7: LSEs subject to a state GHG reduction mandate do not have the ability to affect dispatch to ensure that the emissions of energy deemed to serve their load is within their regulatory limits.
Additional topics may be included ahead of the meeting. If you are interested in becoming a problem statement sponsor or would like to present at the Feb. 22 working group meeting, please send an email to ISOStakeholderAffairs@caiso.com.
Working group materials, including a recorded presentation on GHG attribution price formation, will be available prior to the meeting on the GHG Coordination webpage. Stakeholders will have the opportunity to ask questions during the Feb. 22 meeting on the GHG attribution price formation material.
The working group will be recorded and the video file posted to the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
Please submit written comments on the working group meeting by end of day Mar. 1, 2024, through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage.
