The California ISO has scheduled an informational stakeholder call on Sept. 5, 2023, to discuss the October Eclipse. Presentation will be posted prior to the call on the Miscellaneous Stakeholder Meetings webpage.
The California ISO is preparing for an annular solar eclipse that will pass through the western United States, including California on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023. Details on the expected impacts to the ISO and Western EIM grid-scale commercial photovoltaic solar, behind-the-meter rooftop solar, load impacts, as well as market mechanisms and processes to be utilized during the eclipse will be presented.
