The California ISO will host a hybrid working group meeting for the Price Formation Enhancements initiative on Aug. 3, 2023, to discuss problem statements and guiding principles related to the overview document. The first working group for this initiative will focus on scarcity pricing enhancements and Balancing Authority Area (BAA) level market power mitigation.
The agenda and presentation will be available prior to the meeting on the initiative webpage.
The working group schedule is provided below. The first three working group meetings will be held in person with an option to attend virtually. Please note the working group date is tentative until confirmed through a notice in the ISO’s daily briefing.
- August 3 - hybrid in-person and virtual, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
- August 10 - hybrid in-person and virtual, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
- August 17 - hybrid in-person and virtual, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
If you plan to attend any of the August working group meetings in person, please register. We welcome and encourage your in-person participation, but we are requiring anyone attending the meeting in person to complete an onsite COVID-19 screening questionnaire.
The ISO encourages participants to propose specific topics to be discussed and welcomes interested parties to present proposals through a future working group process. Please email ISOStakeholderAffairs@caiso.com with your interest to present at future working group meetings after August 3.
