The California ISO will host a hybrid California New Resource Implementation (NRI) stakeholder meeting on May 1, 2024. We aim to bolster collaboration with our stakeholder community in preparation for the upcoming summer operations. Our objective is to improve transparency surrounding the NRI process and outline expectations. If you plan to attend the working group in person, please register by end of day April 26, 2024.
The ISO will provide a high-level overview to the NRI process and highlight the activities of ISO Business Units during NRI reviews. Additionally, will highlight the Metering and Telemetry requirements, focusing on potential challenges and offering strategies for more efficient approvals. Finally, the ISO will share the next steps each organization needs to know when a resource is ready to synchronize to the grid, and address common challenges encountered during Real-Time Operations.
The ISO is looking forward to the collaboration and discussion during the event. The ISO recognizes the complexity of this process and the increased need for new resources to meet our clean energy goals. The ISO is committed to working closely with our stakeholders to enhance efficiency in onboarding resources to the grid reliably.
