The California ISO will offer a training webinar on July 25, 2023, to review the Resource Performance Expectations of Dispatch and Operating Instructions. This training is intended for all scheduling coordinators that schedule and operate resources in the ISO market but is available to all Market Participants. Any market participant that has ever received a dispatch or operating instruction for which it did not, or could not, comply should attend this training including those that are new to scheduling in the ISO market or are experienced scheduling coordinators.
This webinar will provide details related to the operational expectations of resources and will cover the following concepts:
- Overview of tariff requirement to comply with dispatch and operating instructions.
- Brief review of reliability issues associated with failure to follow instructions.
- Clarification of the various types of dispatch and operating instructions that can be issued to resources.
- Review of Scheduling Coordinator expected responses to different types of dispatch and operating instructions.
- Structure of potential compliance consequences due to failure to comply with dispatch and operating instructions.
