The California ISO has published its analysis of the July events in its Summer Market Performance Report for July 2023. This will be discussed during the Market Performance and Planning Forum scheduled for Sept. 27, 2023 to review the details of the analysis and answer stakeholder questions. The July report is available on the Reports and bulletins webpage, under the Monthly market performance reports heading. Participants have the option to attend the Sept. 27 forum in person at the ISO, or virtually. If you plan to attend the Sept. 27 in person, please register by end of day Sept. 25.
The report gives an in-depth breakdown of grid and market conditions during the month of July, focusing mainly on the grid’s most critical days of July 20, 25 and 26.
The July report is part of a series of monthly summer reports intended to provide an update and assessment on the performance of specific market enhancements implemented as part of the ISO’s summer readiness market rules changes.
A presentation related to the July Summer Market Performance will be posted prior to the call.
