Effective Dec. 13, 2023, the California ISO revised its methodology for counting natural gas resources for the Supply and CO2 charts on Today’s Outlook and the ISO Today mobile app. To display more accurate data, the new method now captures all resources that are registered in the Masterfile as having natural gas as its primary source of fuel, rather than the previous process of estimating gas usage by subtracting the non-gas resources from total ISO resources.
