The California ISO will hold Day-Ahead Market Enhancements (DAME) initiative public stakeholder workshops on Feb. 27, 2023, and March 7-8, 2023 to continue discussions on several key DAME design elements including the granularity of imbalance reserve procurement. The February 27 and March 7 workshops, originally scheduled from 1 - 4 p.m., will now be held from 1 - 5 p.m. The March 8 workshop remains scheduled from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
The workshop on February 27 is offered in a virtual format, while the workshops on March 7-8, are offered virtually and in-person at the California ISO in Folsom, California. During the workshops, the ISO and stakeholders will continue discussion on several key DAME design elements, including:
- Granularity of imbalance reserve procurement (nodal/zonal); including related issues such as deliverability, local market power mitigation, and impact on congestion revenue rights
- Energy storage modeling enhancements to better reflect impact of imbalance reserve awards on state of charge
If you plan to attend the March 7-8 workshops in person, please register by end of day March 3. A negative COVID test, taken no more than 24 hours prior to your attendance, is required to attend in-person meetings. While we request that you provide your own test, we will have a limited number of test kits available at the ISO for those that need them. The testing is on an honor basis, and you are required to report your results when you check in. Individuals with a positive test result will not be able to attend in person; however, as noted below there are remote participation options. We look forward to seeing you.
Meeting materials will be posted to the DAME initiative webpage prior to the workshops. The workshops will be recorded and the files posted to the initiative webpage for a limited time. Any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
