The California ISO will host a virtual working group meeting for the Price Formation Enhancements (PFE) initiative on Oct. 12, 2023 to provide an overview of Fast Start Pricing (FSP) and hear stakeholder’s perspectives on identifying the scope of analysis to inform more comprehensive discussion. If you plan to attend the working group, please pre-register in order to receive participation details. The working group meeting time has also been extended to 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
ISO staff will provide background information on Fast Start Pricing and are seeking stakeholder feedback on the development of a scope for analysis to allow for robust discussion in subsequent phases of the PFE initiative on its inclusion to the ISO markets.
The ISO had previously held workshops regarding the potential to incorporate FSP along with its Flex Ramp product on Dec. 16, 2022. View the video from the Dec. 16 meeting. We encourage stakeholders to review this material in preparation for the upcoming working group meeting, and look forward to a robust discussion on the data and information necessary to continue the discussion.
