The California ISO is declaring CAISO Grid GENERATION Restricted Maintenance Operations
for the period from 05/27/2009 15:51 through 05/27/2009 23:59.
THIS IS AN UPDATE TO A PREVIOUSLY POSTED MESSAGE: CAISO was |notified that participants did not receive the AWE |notification of Generation Restricted Maintenance |Operations sent at 13:45. The message did post to OASIS - |System Operating Messages and the CAISO Today's Outlook web |page. The e-mail distribution issue has been resolved. |The Generation Restricted Maintenance Operations condition |remains in effect.||The California ISO is declaring CAISO Grid GENERATION |Restricted Maintenance Operations for the period from |05/27/2009 15:45 through 05/27/2009 23:59. The ISO has lost |approximately 1,000 MW of generating resources during the |course of the day due to various equipment problems and |Balancing Area generating capacity is running at lower than |forecasted levels. At this point we do not anticipate a |system emergency as a result of this condition.
Restrictions to maintenance affecting Generation as detailed in
ISO Operating Procedure E-509 will be in effect. Additionally,
Market Participants are cautioned to avoid actions which may
unnecessarily jeopardize generator availability.
This notice does not restrict scheduled outages which do not
affect generating resource availability.
