The ISO designs and offers a variety of training programs and courses in support of ISO systems and programs. Materials and courses within this section will help Scheduling Coordinators understand how to do business with the ISO to make their interaction with the ISO more efficient and effective.

Training Calendar

Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR) Training Training for Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR), financial instruments, made available through the CRR Allocation, CRR Auction and Secondary Registration System (SRS). Courses include CRR basics plus CRR Rules and Allocation and Auction Process.

Meter Data Submission/OMAR Online Training The Operational Meter Analysis and Reporting (OMAR) application is used to submit, view and download Scheduling Coordinator Settlement Quality Meter Data, which is used in the calculation of CAISO Preliminary and Final Settlement Statements. These documents provide information/training on OMAR Online and upcoming enhancements, the digital certificate request and installation process, File Transfer Protocol (FTP-ECN) and Automation update, and how to submit data during Daylight Savings Time.

MRTU Training Courses and materials designed to prepare Market Participants and Stakeholders for the launch of MRTU in 2008. The MRTU program is two-fold, including an extensive overhaul of the ISO market structure and a modernization of the technology and systems that support it.

Scheduling Infrastructure (SI) Training and Testing Courses and materials that teach Market Participants how to submit valid and balanced schedules to the ISO. Includes process details targeted towards individuals who perform the day-to-day scheduling responsibilities for their organization.

Scheduling and Logging for the ISO of California (SLIC) Training Materials to provide the end user with the required information necessary to submit an Outage Request using the ISO SLIC Web Client.

Settlement Dispute System (SDS) Training Materials and links to provide the end user with the required information necessary to submit a settlement dispute using the CAISO Settlement Dispute System (SDS).

Settlements Training Courses and materials to educate Scheduling Coordinators on how the ISO financially settles market transactions. Geared toward individuals who manage or work with the settlement function for their organization.
