Vehicle to grid integration roadmap

The ISO, California Energy Commission, California Public Utilities Commission and stakeholders are developing a vehicle to grid integration roadmap that will support the governor’s 2013 Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEV) Action Plan.  The plan calls for 1.5 million zero-emission vehicles on California roads by 2025.  Through a series of workshops we are exploring issues such as how electric vehicles can provide grid services while managing charging levels as well as implementing two way interactions between the vehicles and the grid. The agencies and the ISO, along with their respective stakeholders, are also analyzing how to leverage smart grid technologies to support reliable grid management.
