2018 GridTech Expo
Exhibitor Prospectus


The California ISO is pleased to announce GridTech Expo, a new and exciting addition to its annual Stakeholder Symposium. The Expo provides technology vendors with a dynamic venue to market innovative products and services to the wholesale electric industry. Participating in the GridTech Expo will give your company ample opportunity to directly network with nearly 1,000 Symposium guests, executives and leaders in the energy industry across the West.

The expanded exposition offers 36 vendor booths located in Exhibit Hall B on the ground floor of the convention center. The ISO will take the following steps to maximize foot traffic in the exhibition hall:

  1. Program sufficient time into the agenda to provide attendees with ample opportunities to view the exhibits.
  2. Host meal service, breaks and special reception in Exhibit Hall B to ensure guests have time to visit with vendors.
  3. Incorporate large smart technology displays in Exhibit Hall B which will also attract significant attention to the area.

GridTech Expo will focus on products and services that support the wholesale electric grid and markets. The following are some of the industries that should consider exhibiting:
  • Demand response providers
  • Metering, automation and communications providers
  • Energy storage providers
  • Micro-grid operators and aggregators
  • Suppliers of renewables forecasting and data visibility services
  • Solar, wind, and transmission developers
  • Firms experienced in smart grid services
  • Suppliers of dynamic energy pricing services
  • Distributed generation developers
  • Providers of smart chargers for electric vehicles
  • Distributed energy resources
  • Vehicle-to-grid vehicle demonstration and smart charging services

There are two booth packages available - standard and premium. Premium booths are located in higher traffic areas (shaded in map). Multiple booths can be purchased by companies seeking to gain greater visibility to attendees.


 
Booth package specifications and pricing:

Standard: $3,000

•  1 – 10' x 10' booth space
•  8' high draped back wall and 3' high draped side rails
•  7" x 44" company/booth identification sign
•  1 – 6' draped table
•  2 – contour chairs
•  1 – 5 AMP, 120V electric outlet
•  Wireless internet connectivity will be provided for data access (no streaming video permitted)
•  Two (2) Symposium registrations
•  List of 2018 symposium attendees and their organizations

Premium: $3,500

•  1 – 10' x 10' booth space
•  8' high draped back wall and 3' high draped side rails
•  7" x 44" company/booth identification sign
•  1 – 6' draped table
•  2 – contour chairs

    Booth location selections

    Exhibitors are asked to select their first, second and third choice booth locations in the exhibitor application. The ISO will make every effort to award booths in alignment with exhibitor requests. However, the ISO cannot guarantee that booth locations will be available as requested. The ISO retains the right to place exhibitors in any booth, should the exhibitor's first, second or third choice not be available.

    No-show policy
    An exhibitor will be considered a no-show if its booth space is unoccupied by 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, unless alternative arrangements have been made with the ISO in advance of the event. The exhibitor shall be deemed to have cancelled their exhibit space application/contract and will forfeit all payments. The exhibit space may be assigned to another exhibitor. No refunds will be made to the original exhibitor.
